At a Beatles press conference on May 14, 1968 at New York’s Americana hotel, announcing the launch of Apple Records, Jack Robinson photographed Paul McCartney. McCartney met his future bandmate and songwriting partner in Liverpool when he was fifteen, and together they wrote hundreds of songs, and changed the face of popular music. The Beatles “The White Album” was released in November 1968, just six months after this photograph.
