Born in Florence in 1937, Isabella Albonico began modeling in Europe when she was 15, and arrived in New York in 1957. The brown-haired, brown-eyed, Isabella worked often with Jack, and she had covers on Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and LIFE (her LIFE Cover from 1959 was photographed by Jack Robinson), and has won, she says, “a reputation for being allergic to being pummeled around under the lights. Nobody touches me.” This undated photograph is from the mid-1960s.
