Prince Serge (Colonel) Obolensky of Russia whose first wife was a daughter of Tsar Alexander II and who later was married to Alice Astor was one of many members of the Russian nobility impoverished by the Revolution. He would later become a military man, a popular member of Cafe Society and would later manage Colonel Astor's St. Regis in New York.
