Pianist and Conductor Daniel Barenboim photographed for a Vogue feature on November 21, 1968. At the time, Barenboim was twenty-six-years-old. Two years earlier, he had made his debut as conductor of the English Chamber Orchestra. A child prodigy, Barenboim gave his first concert at seven, first played Carnegie Hall at fifteen, and made his first recordings at twenty-one. Barenboim married cellist Jacqueline Du Pré in 1967 in Jerusalem.
